Eating healthy has always been my thing — especially after attending the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Smoothies, meatless and comfort alternatives, and foods for longevity have since ruled my pantry. (My former McDonald’s-loving fiance is now a Brussels sprout convert. Hooray!).
Every weekday morning, I make an almost identical smoothie: nuts or almond butter, protein powder, some oats or another healthy grain, chia seeds, a huge handful of spinach or kale, whatever fruit is lying around, and some juice or almond milk. Rinse and repeat. I go through A TON of the above ingredients, and at most stores, the cost can add up pretty quickly. Luckily, it doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg to eat
One of the reasons I am SO excited about Sprouts coming to Naples is that they have an incredible selection of bulk foods. Here, you can find nuts, grains, spices, granolas, beans, and more, for WAY less than your run of the mill “healthy” grocer. Not to mention, their farm fresh produce is typically priced 20-25% less than supermarket prices. My bank account is pretty much rejoicing! I’m also digging the snacks. I LOVE their organic popcorn for a filling, delicious snack that tastes as good as it sounds. Don’t dig it as much as I do? They offer a 100% money-back guarantee!
Even better? The savings don’t stop at just grocery items. With over 2,400 products, some of my very favorite personal care items are also sold at Sprouts. With my insane schedule, I am SO grateful I now have a one-stop-shop for all of my natural, organic needs
(Not pictured in this post: the Dark Chocolate Dipped Coconut Rolls…because they were too good that I ate them all prior to writing this. Do yourself a favor and GET THEM NOW!)
Now back to our regularly scheduled program 😉 Check my favorite tropical breakfast smoothie:

- 1 banana
- 1 tbs chia seeds
- 1 large handful spinach
- 1/2 tbs Sprouts almond butter
- Scoop of vegan protein
- Blend and sip over a 20 minute + amount of time to keep you satisfied all morning long!
